They will be Nelly Caf\u00e9s, Agroexport, and Biospicy (coffee, live cattle, and black pepper); Sebraz (pulses); Sabor das \u00cdndias (pepper jelly, cupua\u00e7u, and a\u00e7a\u00ed, sauces, pepper, and chili); C-Vale (poultry and tilapia); Globall Export (cheese bread, garlic bread, beverages, and frozen meals); Acanastra and Aprocan (Canasta cheese and coffee); BRF (processed poultry protein); Yolo Aca\u00ed (aca\u00ed); FertMinas (fertilizers); Pabovi (plastic hoses); and Jacto (agricultural machinery).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_328791\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-328791\" style=\"width: 345px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-328791 \" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit-600x462.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit-600x462.jpg 600w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit-1024x788.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit-150x115.jpg 150w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit-768x591.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit.jpg 1366w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-328791\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Camels on display at SIAM 2019 <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The pavilion is organized by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil in Rabat and with support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) will be represented by the Institutional Relations director, Fernanda Baltazar.<\/p>\n<p>The last edition of the event was in 2019. This will be the post-pandemic return of SIAM. \u201cThis is a show the Ministry of Agriculture is returning to; Brazil already participated a few years ago. The ABCC has also participated in other editions, including with an institutional stand. It is an exciting show, similar to the Agrishow here in Brazil,\u201d said Baltazar. Agrishow is an agricultural show in Ribeir\u00e3o Preto, in the countryside of S\u00e3o Paulo, from May 1 to 5 this year.<\/p>\n<p>To the director, Morocco is a potential market for Brazil, and bilateral trade has been increasing. \u201cThey are more focused on exporting fertilizers to Brazil, but there is a wide range to diversify this trade basket with agricultural machinery and food. Brazil has been working on these partnerships, and Morocco\u2019s agricultural sector is developing,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_328794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-328794\" style=\"width: 336px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-328794 \" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit3-600x437.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"336\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit3-600x437.jpg 600w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit3-1024x747.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit3-150x109.jpg 150w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit3-768x560.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/siam-edit3.jpg 1362w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-328794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Animal husbandry area<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Baltazar also stated the thriving tourism sector in Morocco brings the opportunity to penetrate both the local and the international tourism market. \u201cFurthermore, Morocco is known as a logistics hub for Africa, with airlines and free trade agreements with Arab and African countries,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The participation of the ABCC in the show will provide institutional support to companies interested in Morocco. \u201cThis is the first event the ABCC participates in Morocco after the pandemic,\u201d said Baltazar. In addition to providing support to companies, the entity will have institutional appointments, with meetings in the Port of Tangier and at the local Federation of Industries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The show<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The last edition of SIAM, in 2019, brought together 850,000 visitors and 1,365 exhibitors from 60 countries, 24 official delegations, 331 cooperatives and associations, and 595 journalists. There were 1,890 animals on display. Thirty-five conferences were held over the six days of the event.<\/p>\n<p>SIAM is divided into ten sections. One of them is dedicated to the twelve regions of Morocco. There are also sections for institutional &amp; sponsors; international; products; agricultural supplies; nature &amp; environment; terroir products; breeding; agricultural machinery; and conferences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Market data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Morocco is the fifth-largest economy in Africa and has the second-highest industrialization rate on the continent. Regarding agriculture, the country mainly produces citrus fruits, cereals, sardines, olives, and vegetables. The industry\u2019s primary sectors are textiles and clothing, chemicals, phosphate fertilizers, and automobiles. This is the second biggest trade flow value from Brazil to the African continent, second only to Egypt, with USD 3.44 billion, surpassing Algeria, Nigeria, and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Brazilian exports to Morocco recorded a historic peak of USD 1.067 billion in revenue and 2.68 million tonnes in volume in 2022.
