The plot brings the real story of the young swimming sisters Yusra and Sara Mardini, who fled the war in Syria. Admission is free for club members and guests.<\/p>\n<p>The production addresses emotional moments in their lives, such as when Yusra, due to the bombings caused by the civil war in the country in 2015, witnessed the <strong>destruction of the Olympic center<\/strong> where she competed. The young woman moves to Europe with her sister on a path full of challenges; later, they are discovered by a coach.<\/p>\n<p>The sisters were in Brazil for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, competing in the 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly categories. They currently live in Germany. The film depicts the athletes\u2019 dedication and the sport\u2019s transforming power. It is directed by Welsh-Egyptian filmmaker <strong>Sally El Hosaini<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The film will be exhibited through the Arab Culture Nucleus of Esporte Clube S\u00edrio. The club was founded by young <strong>Syrian and Lebanese immigrants<\/strong> in 1917 and offers leisure, culture, and sports activities.
