According to data released by the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (<strong>Abical\u00e7ados<\/strong>), the country bought 119,000 pairs from Brazil last month, worth USD 1.4 million. Each pair shipped at an average price of USD 12.04.<\/p>\n<p>The Saudis also bought Brazilian shoes in April last year but in a smaller volume. There were 47,900 pairs for USD 475,900, and the average price was USD 9.93. As a result, exports to the Saudis grew 148% in volume and 201.5% in revenue last month, and average prices were 21.3% higher.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia was the only Arab country to appear on the list of the 20 <strong>main buyers of Brazilian footwear<\/strong> in April. The leading destination was Argentina, followed by the USA, Peru, France, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Uruguay, and Chile. In the list of main destinations in 2023&#8217;s first four months, no Arab country appears.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Brazilian footwear industries exported 10.2 million pairs of shoes in April, down 20.7% over 2022&#8217;s same month. Revenue tallied USD 111.7 million, down 2%.
