Yes. Fine chocolates. Yes. Spray oil, nachos, moringa, orange, garlic? Yes, all these <strong>food<\/strong> products are produced by <strong>Arab firms<\/strong>. A table laden with these and other items at a cocktail party held last Tuesday (16) night by the <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) in a restaurant in S\u00e3o Paulo was a demonstration of the sheer diversity and size of the food industry in the Arab countries.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_329660\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-329660\" style=\"width: 293px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-329662\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/comidas-6.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-329660\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chohfi showing Arab crackers and chocolates<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The meeting was held on a day of the supermarket fair <strong>APAS Show<\/strong>, where Arab brands are exhibiting in areas organized by the ABCC. \u201cBrazilians aren\u2019t fully aware of the diversity of what\u2019s manufactured in the Arab countries, of their capacity to manufacture foods different from those they\u2019re traditionally known for, like dates and olives,\u201d said ABCC president <strong>Osmar Chohfi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chohfi, by holding the event and bringing Arab firms to APAS, the ABCC aimed to raise awareness in the Brazilian market on the high-quality food production of Arab countries. The couple had been to the United Arab Emirates and took the opportunity to get to know the diverse culinary of the region. \u201cI was shocked with such diversity,\u201d Gilson said. He noticed how Lebanese food are the most well-known in Brazil. \u201cBut Arab sweets were a really big surprise,\u201d he said. During the event, he was amazed to see Jordanian products and Saudi soft drinks showcased.<\/p>\n<p>Executives Fabiana Araujo and <strong>Michelle Pereira <\/strong><em>(opening picture),<\/em> of financial institution Parmetal, attended the event and got to know the broad variety of Arab foods. \u201cIt\u2019s really diverse,\u201d said Pereira. Masadeh said this is his country\u2019s second time in the show, which has been repeated due to its success in 2022.
