According to the information, the authorization came on May 15.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry said sales of gelatin and collagen from any established under the SIF that meet the sanitary requirements and are certified by the <strong>IS EG Halal<\/strong> were cleared.<\/p>\n<p>SIF is Brazil\u2019s Federal Inspection Service, affiliated with the Agriculture Ministry, that assesses the quality of animal food products as required for import and export activities. IS EG is an entity accredited by Egypt\u2019s government to certify halal products exported to the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Brazilian government, Egypt is a market with great potential, and the <strong>market opening<\/strong> process for these products started last March.<\/p>\n<p>Year to date through April, Brazil exported USD 678 million worth of goods to Egypt, mostly agribusiness products.
