S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Representatives of the Saif Zone<\/strong>, a free zone in the emirate of Sharjah<\/strong>, one of the seven that make up the United Arab Emirates, will be in Brazil in June to meet with Brazilian companies. Organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), the trade mission<\/strong> will kick off on June 12 with a seminar in S\u00e3o Paulo, in which a profile of the Saif Zone<\/a> will be presented, detailing the facilities, tax incentives, in addition to success cases of companies already installed in the free zone, including 20 from Brazil.<\/p>\n

Registration for the seminar is open, after which participants can meet with Saif Zone representatives.<\/p>\n

The free zone seeks to attract organizations to use the space as an export hub, taking advantage of the emirate\u2019s government\u2019s logistical,<\/strong> tax, and customs advantages<\/strong> to foreign companies.<\/p>\n

From June 12 afternoon to June 16, the free zone executives will meet with companies<\/strong> in the segments of jewelry, gems, precious metals, food, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, hygiene, clothing, aviation, and auto parts, for which the free zone was designed to accommodate.<\/p>\n

The companies that will participate in the meetings were prospected by the ABCC. Meetings between the Saif Zone group and representatives of the state government of S\u00e3o Paulo are also planned.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Saif Zone sits in the emirate that concentrates 34% of the country\u2019s industries, strategically positioned between a port and an airport, an eight-hour flight away from the major consumption hubs in Europe and Asia, in a country with free trade agreements with the main developed and developing countries in the world, which translates to access to two billion consumers at favorable rates,\u201d explained Leonardo Machado, senior analyst for International Business at the ABCC.<\/p>\n
