Among them are the Brazilian Vanessa de Figueiredo Vilela Ara\u00fajo and the Jordanian Linda Hundaileh. Empretec is the name of an Unctad programme that promotes training and incentive to entrepreneurship in developing countries. <\/p>\n<p> Vanessa is the owner of cosmetics manufacturing company Kapeh Cosm\u00e9ticos, based in the city of Tr\u00eas Pontas, in the state of Minas Gerais. According to a release issued by the Unctad, the company makes cosmetics from coffee extracts and exports to Nigeria, the United States, Central American countries and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n<p> Linda, from Amman, Jordan, is the owner of chocolate factory Philadelphia, of company Chocolography, which specializes in chocolate gifts, of hard candy manufacturing company Ammoun, and of the Rafawed Consulting and Development Company, which provides training to women entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p> The other finalists are Olga Lidia Arean, from Argentina, Joy Simakane, from Botswana, Mar\u00eda de La Luz Osses Klein, from Chile, Guenet Fresenbet Azmach, from Ethiopia, Lucia Desir, from Guiana, Lilian Okoro, from Nigeria, Beatrice Ayuru Bvaruhanga, from Uganda, and Vivivata Chivunga, from Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p> The winners, according to the release, are going to be announced at the meeting of the Unctad Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission, due April 26 to 30, 2010 in Geneva.<\/p>\n<p> <b>*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prize for female entrepreneurs has 10 finalists.
