Instead of merely receiving financial interests, <strong>foreign investors<\/strong> would profit from a sustainable project. The Latin American country\u2019s National Treasury secretary Rog\u00e9rio Ceron (<em>pictured<\/em>) said the government wants to be ready to issue these bonds on the international market as of September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe right date, from September to November, will depend on the market window. It\u2019s a strategic positioning of the Treasury to find the right window of opportunity to issue them,\u201d said the secretary following the first meeting of the Sovereign Sustainable Finance Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Established last month, this committee is in charge of creating rules for the <strong>issuance of sustainable bonds<\/strong>.
