S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Muslims across the world are celebrating the Eid Al-Adha<\/strong>, which is Arabic for Feast of Sacrifice<\/strong>. It\u2019s an important date in Islamic countries where there\u2019s usually an extended holiday, with halal slaughters for sharing meat with family and people in need, prayer services in mosques, as well as fun and celebrations with friends and family. The feast started last Wednesday (28) and runs through Saturday (1), with the Feast of Sacrifice being the first day of the extended holiday. The Eid Al-Adha celebrates the human capacity of loyalty towards the Creator, as it celebrates the episode of submission granted to Abraham who was called upon to sacrifice his son before being offered a lamb as a reward for his trust in God.<\/p>\n
