firms to be world\u2019s last oil and gas producers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Talking on energy transition, Petrobras CEO <strong>Jean Paul Prates <\/strong>said Wednesday (5) there\u2019s one certainty for state-controlled companies and countries: \u201cWe\u2019re on a transition where these oil-producing countries and their state-run companies are likely to be the world\u2019s <strong>last oil and gas producers<\/strong>, so they have the responsibility to do so in the most decarbonated, sustainable and developed manner from the standpoint of artificial intelligence, robotics, automation.\u201d He talked at the 8<sup>th<\/sup> Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) International Seminar.<\/p>\n<p>Prates published a video on his <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jeanpaulprates\/status\/1676687046377611265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> talking about his presentation at the \u201cTowards a sustainable and inclusive energy transition\u201d in Austria, where he participate in a roundtable. \u201cOur presence here, representing Petrobras \u2013 Brazil, so to speak \u2014 was very fruitful, very relevant, in a situation of concerned oil producers that\u2019re already on their energy transition,\u201d said Prates in the video.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, developing and mastering technology, as well as \u201ctransitioning in mid-air,\u201d is key for oil companies at this period, where oil companies will also need <strong>support from the states<\/strong>. \u201cThe support from nation states was definitely a major topic here as something that\u2019s essential for the energy transition of these companies,\u201d Prates said on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of Petrobras also said the company wants partnerships. \u201cWe made it clear that Petrobras and the Brazilian government, too, are willing to make <strong>energy alliances<\/strong> in this sense, and in the case of Petrobras in particular, corporate, strategic, technological and business opportunity partnerships, especially in Brazil, with direct investment in Brazil together with Petrobras, also in the development of technology and innovation, artificial intelligence, and automation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Prates said the need for the energy transition to be socially inclusive was also a topic at the OPEC seminar. \u201cNot
