Despite the economic crisis, the result represents growth of 1% compared with the same period of last year, according to figures announced by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade on this Monday (21st). <\/p>\n<p> In the third week of this month (from the 14th to the 20th), the trade surplus was US$ 224 million, with foreign sales totalling US$ 3.254 billion, at a daily average of US$ 650.8 million, and imports totalling US$ 3.030 billion, at a daily average of US$ 606 million. <\/p>\n<p> The trade surplus so far this month is US$ 596 million, with exports totalling US$ 9.084 billion, at a daily average of US$ 648.9 million, growth of 3.3% over the same month of last year.
