S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer delivered the first Lineage 1000 executive jet to company Al Jaber Aviation (AJA), based in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The Arab company has already placed an order for four other aircraft of the same model, plus four Legacy 450s and four Legacy 500s.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted to hand over the first Lineage 1000 to Al Jaber Aviation, and very proud to be playing a key role in AJA\u2019s fleet expansion,\u201d said Colin Steven, the Embraer Marketing and Sales director for Europe, Middle East and Africa \u2013Executive Aviation, according to a release issued by the company. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are especially honoured by the confidence AJA has placed in our Executive Jets family. The company began operations in June 2009 with our Legacy 600, and is now expanding the fleet with the Lineage 1000,\u201d added Steven.<\/p>\n
The Lineage 1000 is Embraer\u2019s leading executive jet and has capacity to transport 19 passengers in five cabin zones em cinco zonas de cabine. The aircraft will start making on-demand charter flights in March 2010. Al Jaber Aviation is going to be the leading operator of this type of aircraft, with a fleet of five units.<\/p>\n
