The volume of natural gas produced, in turn, was 50.343 million cubic metres per day, similar to the production levels in 2008. According to the Petrobras, figures pertaining to gas production reflect a retraction of domestic demand.<\/p>\n<p> Taking into consideration the company\u2019s average daily production in other countries as well, production totalled 2.5 million barrels of oil equivalent, growth of 5.2% over 2008.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cIn 2009, average oil production in foreign countries was 140,576 barrels\/day, representing growth of 13.7% compared with 2008. The average volume of natural gas produced in 2009 16,519 cubic metres per day, with a 3.2% reduction in comparison with 2008.
