S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 A group of university students from Dubai is in Brazil to participate, alongside Brazilian youths, in a global entrepreneurship training program promoted by holding Al Ahli Group, from the United Arab Emirates. The Global Business Opportunity (GBO) group, brought to Brazil by Quantum Group, which belongs to the Brazilian Cl\u00e1udia Riecken, has as its objective working social responsibility through the generation of incentives to young entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
For ten days, 20 Arab and Brazilian university students have been divided into groups to elaborate a business plan. The teams, which include two representatives from each country, had management, tendency management, finance, marketing and international business classes, among others. Apart from that, they also met with executives in the market, visited companies and exchanged cultural experience. \u201cEach team is going to elaborate its business plan, which may be implemented both in Brazil and in Dubai,\u201d said Cl\u00e1udia.<\/p>\n
The team that elaborated the best business plan, to be presented on Monday (1) at the offices of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b>, in S\u00e3o Paulo, should be promoted to the final of the program, to take place in April, in Dubai, where they will compete for the US$ 20,000 award, to be invested in the new business or in university studies.<\/p>\n
Al Ahli Group has been investing in programs for young entrepreneurs for two years. Projects have already been developed in Jordan, South Africa and Argentina. \u201cThe program is a motivation project that Mohammed Kammas (CEO of the group) developed to foster employment and income in the Emirates,\u201d said Cl\u00e1udia, who helped choose candidates through the Quantum method, that she herself developed. The method, according to her, is based on scientific fundaments and helps identify the behavioural profile of people. \u201cEntrepreneurs have to know themselves, know what potential to make use of,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The activities with the youths are being promoted in the city of Campos do Jord\u00e3o, in the interior of S\u00e3o Paulo, where the youths are also going on tourist outings, where a little of the culture of Brazil is being presented to the Arabs.<\/p>\n
Presentations are being given in capoeira, a Brazilian martial art. There are also being June party simulations and other Arab and Brazilian parties are also being promoted. Accompanying the group from Dubai is the director of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) division at Al Ahli Group, Lina Hourani.<\/p>\n
According to her, the private sector is always pushed to support the community and her group chose to help youths from the Emirates and also from other countries to start businesses.<\/p>\n
