According to the company, the finds were made with the drilling of just one well, named 6-BR-63A-RJS, in Barracuda field, 100 kilometres off the coast.<\/p>\n<p> The sea depth at the site is 860 metres. One of the discoveries was made at 4,340 metres below the sea floor, in the pre-salt layer, and, according to the company, the oil is light and is estimated at 40 million recoverable barrels.<\/p>\n<p> The other, in the post-salt layer, therefore at lower depths, is estimated at 25 million barrels of recoverable oil.
