In comparison with the result for January 2010, the expansion was 3.6%. The figures were disclosed today (4) by the National Association of Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea).<\/p>\n<p> The production of vehicles in February also expanded. Production totalled 253,200 vehicles, growth of 23.9% over the total in February last year. In comparison with the result for January 2010, the growth was 2.8%.<\/p>\n<p> There was also great expansion in the sales of agricultural machinery. On the domestic market, in February, sales totalled 5,300 units, which represents growth of 46.4% over the same month in 2009 and 16.5% in comparison with January 2010. In exports, sales totalled US$ 830.1 million, 42.6% more than in February 2009, and 12.4% over January this year.<\/p>\n<p> The number of workers employed by the automotive industry in February totalled 126,793 people.
