S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 A study by international consultancy company DBM, specialized in human capital, shows that the demand for executives grew 57% in Brazil last year as against the previous year. The search includes posts for middle management, management, director positions, presidency and boards of governors. According to the consultancy company, it took place mainly due to economic growth in the country.<\/p>\n
"Companies are hiring more due to favourable conditions this year, as well, of course, as the impact expected for the economy due to events like the World Cup and the Olympics,\u201d added the president at DBM Brasil, Cl\u00e1udio Garcia.<\/p>\n
According to a spokesperson, the sectors that most sought executives last year were information technology and household appliances. In these areas, the growth of demand was 92% and 63%, respectively. Most of the positions are for professionals in the commercial, sales and marketing areas. <\/p>\n
The sector of consumer products sought 87% more professionals in 2009 than in the previous year. In the sectors of servicers and in retail, there were growths of 65% and 87%, respectively.<\/p>\n
The growth of the C (middle) Class in Brazil also boosted hiring, accoridng to the consultancy compnay. "This scenery shows that the expansion of the Brazilian C Class boosted the demand for executives in Brazil,\u201d said Garcia. According to DBM, the perspective for 2010 is that the good scenery should continue.<\/p>\n
