The content is organised in 20 lessons. There are also banks of vocabulary separated by theme and answers in the back of the book. “Every five lessons, there is a general review lesson. The book also includes two audio CDs with the pronunciation of almost all the Arabic words in the book,” explained Jorge Capelo, the commercial manager at the publishing house.

The book by Belhasem, the author of a series that includes English, Italian and Spanish, is a practical pocket vocabulary of easy access, very useful when travelling on business or tourism. Words are classified in themes like: means of transport, holidays, urban life, purchasing, work and leisure,” said Capelo.

According to him, the books are already registered at the main bookstores in the country and on the Disal site and demand is good. “We noticed that there are not many publications with this focus in Brazil, despite the great community of descendants,” said the manager. The concern with the quality of the products, both with regard to content and to physical aspect, has been the basic principle guiding the activitites of Disal publishing house, according to Capelo.

Disal was established in 2003 by Francisco Canato, Renato Guazzelli and José Bantim Duarte, three professionals with great experience in the area.
