The information was disclosed today (5th) by the Confederation of Brazilian Hides and Skins Industries (CICB).<\/p>\n<p> The chairman of the organization, Wolfgang Goerlich, stated in a press release that the Brazilian leather industry is going through a very good phase, contrary to what happened last year.<\/p>\n<p> In April, sales totalled US$ 159 million, representing growth of 98.75% over the same month of 2009. Considering the export figures up until the last month, Goerlich believes that exports by the industry should end the year at between US$ 1.7 billion and US$ 1.8 billion.
