S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Emirates SkyCargo was named best air cargo company of 2010 by British magazine Air Cargo News. This is the sixth time that the company wins the title in its 25 years of existence. <\/p>\n
The award was granted during an event in London, at which the Arab company was also named the Middle East\u2019s best air cargo company for the 22nd year in a row. The winners are chosen based on votes by readers.<\/p>\n
"Emirates SkyCargo is thrilled to receive these awards. To be recognised as the world\u2019s leading air cargo carrier is an incredible achievement and a powerful endorsement of our commitment to customer service and quality. Our close relationship with the cargo industry is of great importance to us and we are very grateful to them for their continued support," said Ram Menen, senior vice president of the Emirates Cargo Division, at the event, according to a press release issued by the company.<\/p>\n
In 2009, Emirates SkyCargo added two Boeings 777Fs aircraft to its fleet. Its cargo network has also grown with services to Tokyo, since March 28, and to Amsterdam, since May 1st. The company will also start flying to Prague and Baghdad in July, to Madrid in August, and to Dakar in September. SkyCargo currently serves over 100 destinations in six continents.<\/p>\n
