It is produced by company Millenniun Tecnologia Ambiental, based in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, under the brand Enzilimp, and is used to degrade sewage waste. The interest was expressed during a visit of the directors of consultancy firms Maccon Consultoria de Negócios and Alicerce Bussiness Solution, based in Curitiba, to Saudi Arabia, in the first half this year. The two companies signed a protocol of intent with a Saudi company.

According to Mario Araújo Costa, the director of Maccon, representatives of the Saudi company should come to Brazil in late September to proceed with the talks. THe protocol states an intention of doing business in the fields of sanitation, intelligent integrated traffic control and security systems, finance, and building of thermoelectric plants and wind farms. The two consultancy firms represent companies in these fields, and the Saudis should become familiar with their facilities and products. According to Costa, the Saudis have also expressed interest in purchasing Brazilian farms and in education-oriented technology.

Maccon and Alicerce Business Solution, the latter of which is directed by Marinho Carlos Uhlmann, operate in international business prospecting since 1991. The Middle Eastern market, however, started being entered approximately three years ago. “We began to identify products that the region needed and business opportunities, and we promoted missions to take companies and products there,” says Costa. In the Arab world, the consultancy firms focus on the Emirates, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, in which they have representatives.

Enzilimp, for instance, has already been showcased at the Big 5 Show, in 2008. The product is made from live bacteria, enzymes and grain chaff. The chaff acts as hosts. The bacteria themselves feed on organic matter, and the product also eliminates the odour of sewage. “And later on the water may be reused in irrigation or industrial processes,” explains Costa. The product is natural, chemical-free, and environmentally safe. “We have ascertained that Arab countries have serious sanitation issues, they are not used to having sewage treatment systems. At some condominiums, the waste is collected by trucks,” says Costa.

Contact

Maccon
Telephone: (+55 41) 3013-1307
E-mail: mario@maccon.com.br

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

Curitiba-based consultancy firms Maccon and Alicerce Business Solution signed a protocol of intent with a Saudi company.
