The rate should be maintained up until 2014. The figures were culled from the seventh edition of the publication <i>Economia Brasileira em Perspectiva<\/i> (Brazilian Economy in Perspective), issued today (10th).<\/p>\n<p> The Brazilian economic growth estimate for 2010 has been maintained at 6.5%. The financial market estimates that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) should increase by 7.12% this year, according to the Focus bulletin, issued by the Brazilian Central Bank and published yesterday (9th). The Central Bank&#8217;s inflation report, in turn, indicates growth of 7.3% in 2010.<\/p>\n<p> According to the Finance Ministry&#8217;s report, the Brazilian economy has quickly resumed a cycle of growth, having grown by 2.7% in the first quarter of 2010 and by 11.4% in annual terms.<\/p>\n<p> With regard to inflation, the Ministry of Finance has maintained its estimate of a 5.2% increase in the Extended Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in 2010.
