It was signed about ten years ago and establishes the recognition and enforcement of court judgments in civil matters, such as family law, commercial law, labor law, civil law, and civil procedural law. It deals with access to justice, the protection of minors, and marital status.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was approved after being vetted by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and will soon be enacted, but will only come into force after ratification by the president of the Republic, according to information from Ag\u00eancia Senado news agency.<\/p>\n<p>According to the agency, the treaty guarantees Brazilians in Morocco free access to the courts under the same conditions as national citizens and legal entities concerning rights and obligations. The same will be valid for Moroccans in Brazil. The agreement also contemplates the right to legal aid for nationals of the other country in a condition equivalent to local citizens.
