According to information released by the Ministry of Tourism of Brazil on Thursday (19), the meeting occurred during the 25th General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in the same city.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, the two ministers discussed boosting the number of tourists from both countries through joint promotion. According to Brazil\u2019s Ministry of Tourism data, 1,378 Saudis traveled to Brazil in 2019, and 3,705 Brazilians entered Saudi Arabia in the same period. The joint promotion plan aims to introduce Saudi Arabia to Brazilians and Brazil to Saudis. At the meeting, Sabino and Al-Khateeb also discussed investment opportunities in the sector in Brazil and nonstop flights between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven with pre-pandemic numbers, we are far short of the potential of these two destinations. We need to work to, at first, balance this scale, then boost these numbers.
