The complex covers an area of 257,000 square meter, and BRL 1 billion (USD 200,000) were invested in the project.<\/p>\n<p>The industrial complex employes 4,500 people and will allow <strong>Seara<\/strong> to advance its expansion strategy into value-added products, particularly in chicken breaded products and hot dog segments.<\/p>\n<p>The new plants will be Seara&#8217;s most automated in Brazil and are part of the investment plan announced by JBS back in 2019 in the total amount of BRL 8 billion (USD 1.6 billion).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe delivery of the complex expansion is quite relevant for the business of JBS and Seara in Brazil and elsewhere. Not only because it\u2019s now one of the most modern complexes in Brazil but because it represents still another step towards the successful strategy of long-term investments in our multiprotein platform that is very focused on high value-added foods. No matter what the product, we want to provide innovation and quality to win the preference of consumers,\u201d Gilberto Tomazoni, global CEO of JBS, was quoted as saying in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past two years, JBS has strengthened its high value-added products, and expanding its industrial complex in Rol\u00e2ndia is part of this strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Last March, one plant began its operation. On that occasion, there was the launch of Seara\u2019s new line of <strong>breaded chicken<\/strong>.
