S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The former president of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), Sylvio Abdalla, passed away this Thursday (26) in the capital of S\u00e3o Paulo. The engineer headed the entity for two terms from 1977 to 1980. Abdalla had also been a member of the ABCC\u2019s Guidance and Deliberation Council before his death.<\/p>\n
Born on April 10, 1942, Sylvio Abdalla held a degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP). The engineer was the son of a former president and co-founder of the ABCC, Wagih Assad Abdalla, and nephew of another former president and co-founder, Nabih Assad Abdalla.<\/p>\n
The ABCC released a note on its social networks mourning his death, paying tribute to Sylvio Abdalla and offering its most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. The Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ) also released a note mourning Abdalla\u2019s passing. He was a Nelore cattle breeder and member of the entity.<\/p>\n
