In his speech at the event, Oman\u2019s ambassador, Talal Al-Rahbi <em>(pictured above)<\/em>, highlighted the strengthening of his country\u2019s ties with Brazil and reaffirmed Oman\u2019s position in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, dignity, and self-determination.<\/p>\n<p>The National Day is officially November 18 and marks the beginning of the \u201cOman Renaissance.\u201d Rahbi said the celebration, year after year, serves to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and inspire for the future. The secretary-general &amp; CEO of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), Tamer Mansour, participated in the event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_339179\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-339179\" style=\"width: 406px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/dia-nacional-oma-2023-1-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-339179\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/dia-nacional-oma-2023-1-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"406\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-339179\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>The ambassador received guests for Oman\u2019s National Day<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Regarding Oman-Brazil relations, Rahbi said there was notable growth in the volume of investments, citing the Brazilian presence in Oman through the mining company Vale\u2019s plant in the port of Sohar and saying that the company is assessing the construction of a second facility. According to him, several investment projects between the two countries are also in the final stages and are expected to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador invited commercial ventures in key sectors, such as renewable energy and agriculture, to invest in his country. \u201cWith abundant opportunities for partnerships with private enterprises or collaboration with government bodies, Oman offers a promising landscape. Let\u2019s forge impactful alliances to drive these industries toward a prosperous future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_339191\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-339191\" style=\"width: 281px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-339191 \" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/oma-tamer-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"281\" height=\"187\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-339191\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Mansour (left) represented the ABCC<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The diplomat also spoke about Brazil\u2019s trade with Oman and told the event participants about the government\u2019s strategy \u2013 Vision Oman 2040 \u2013 which was devised to serve as a roadmap and key reference for state planning from 2021 to 2040. According to Rahbi, the pillars of the strategy are people and society, economy and development, governance and institutional performance, and sustainable environment. The country announced the goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and seeks a prominent global position in green hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador spoke in defense of Palestine.
