A ceremony to celebrate the event was held in the facilities of Embraer in S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos, Brazil, on Monday (22), followed by a celebration held by Royal Jordanian also this week in Jordan, when the planes landed on the Arab country. The aircraft were delivered to Royal Jordanian by aircraft lesser Azorra. <em>Pictured, the two planes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_341992\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-341992\" style=\"width: 409px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/royal-2-600x450.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-341992\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/royal-2-600x450.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"409\" height=\"307\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-341992\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Officials and executives participated in ceremony<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to Embraer, the delivery is part of an order announced last May that includes eight jets, of which six are part of the firm-order backlog between Azorra and Embraer, while the remaining two will be delivered directly to Royal Jordanian Airlines. Royal Jordanian is the flag carrier of Jordan and flies to destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America. Azorra is a company based in the United States and a partner of Royal Jordanian that provides lease, financing, and asset management solutions.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement that mentioned the support of Azorra, Royal Jordanian Airlines vice president &amp; CEO Samer Majali said the company will be the first to operate E2 jets in the Middle East. \u201cThe E2 family will support our strategic aims, complementing our larger narrow body aircraft by matching capacity to demand, reducing operating costs and carbon emissions, while delivering a significant upgrade to passenger experience and comfort, thus underlining our status as the preferred airline in the region,\u201d Majali was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_341995\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-341995\" style=\"width: 238px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/embraer-jordan-450x600.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-341995\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/embraer-jordan-450x600.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"317\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-341995\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ceremony in S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Azorra CEO &amp; founder John Evans spoke of the partnership with Royal Jordanian and Azora\u2019s support to the expansion and modernization of the airline. \u201cWe\u2019re confident that Royal Jordanian will soon see the environmental and economic advantages of operating these new E2 aircraft that also offer superior levels of passenger comfort,\u201d he was quoted as saying. Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO &amp; president Arjan Meijer said that Royal Jordanian\u2019s selection of the E2 to modernize their fleet is a testament to the aircraft\u2019s advanced capabilities, to the successful history of Embraer, and its strong relationships with both Azorra and Royal Jordanian.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the importance of the transaction for the stakeholders and their expansion goals, this also takes Brazil-Jordan trade to the next level. In addition to business leaders like Embraer CEO Francisco Gomes Neto and other attendees, the delivery ceremony in S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos featured the ambassador of Jordan to Brazil, Maen Masadeh, the honorary consul of Jordan in S\u00e3o Paulo, Mustapha Abdouni, and director of the <strong>Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce <\/strong>(ABCC), Mohamad Abdouni Neto. The presence of the ABCC was mentioned by the CEO of the Royal Jordanian Airlines. Ambassador Masadeh also thanked the support of the entity to strengthen Arab-Brazilian ties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ambassador Maen Masadeh<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy participation in this ceremony takes place in light of the uniquely growing relations between Jordan and Brazil, one of whose most significant results was the signing of this trade deal between two internationally renowned companies \u2013 namely Royal Jordanian, that celebrates its sixtieth anniversary, and Embraer, aiming to further strengthening the relations between the two countries, following the guidelines of the wise leadership of His Majesty King Rei Abdullah II, God bless him, and Brazil\u2019s President \u00a0Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva\u201d, Masadeh told ANBA.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_341998\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-341998\" style=\"width: 238px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/royal-3-600x450.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-341998\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/royal-3-600x450.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"238\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-341998\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Abdouni Neto, Majali, and Masadeh<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt is worth noting that the signing of the deal was rooted in the close fraternal relationship between the leaders of the two countries which has been strengthened by a history of high-level visits as well as shared interests and views. We can also include here the growth of intraregional trade, with the posting of high-record figures in the past couple of years, moving at a face pace towards the goal of stepping up this relation across the board,\u201d said the diplomat.<\/p>\n<p>Masadeh said the deal reflects the adamant trust in the Brazilian product. \u201cWith this deal, Royal Jordanian plans on retaining its leadership and unique status as a provider of quality services at reasonable prices to its passengers by using state-of-the-art aircraft featuring the most advanced technological resources, besides being environmental-friendly and fuel-efficient,\u201d he said, pointing out that the Jordanian company already uses Embraer E1 aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with ANBA, ABCC president Osmar Chohfi also spoke of what the deal means for Brazil-Arab relations and for Brazil\u2019s standing as a technology supplier in a highly competitive industry. \u201cThe aircraft delivery to the airline in Jordan has a special significance \u2013 the Brazilian competitiveness and capabilities in a high valued-added product like a plane. It shows the potential for diversifying exports to Arab countries with highly sophisticated technology and is an example for other Arab airlines to buy planes from Embraer, too,\u201d said Chohfi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Masadeh says that this time when Brazil-Jordan relations are climbing is also propicious for Brazilians to visit Jordan and enjoy the pleasant weather and high-quality services provided in the country. \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to marvel at the stunning nature, visit the holy sites, relax in the therapeutical waters of the Dead Sea, and visit one of the world\u2019s seven wonders, Petra, the Pink City.\u201d He congratulated Royal Jordanian and their staff headed by CEO Samer Majali, and Embraer, headed by CEO Francisco Gomes Neto, for the achievement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Royal Jordanian<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_342001\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-342001\" style=\"width: 301px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/royal-4-600x399.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-342001\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/royal-4-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-342001\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">E195-E2 jets will be used by Royal Jordanian<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Royal Jordanian Airlines plays a key role connecting with the world. The company has a mixed fleet of 28 aircraft and as a member of the oneworld alliance, it benefits from a global network of airlines, thus providing a high connectivity to its passengers. The company invests in the continuous upgrading of its fleet and plans on increasing it to 40 aircraft, adopting the most recent aviation technologies to achieve a higher operational efficiency and reducing its environmental impact. Royal Jordanian plays a key role in Jordan\u2019s economic development, tourism promotion, and trade facilitation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Embraer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Embraer is a Brazil-headquartered global high-tech aerospace company whose aircraft is present across the globe. Since its foundation in 1969, Embraer has delibered over 8,000 aircraft. The company is the leading manufacturer of commercial jets with up to 150 seats and the main exporter of high- value-added goods in Brazil.
