Last month, foreigners spent US$ 489 million in the country.<\/p>\n<p> Because spending by Brazilians abroad was greater than spending by foreigners in Brazil, the Central Bank has revised its travel account deficit projection up from US$ 8 billion to US$ 10 billion. The deficit forecast for 2011 is US$ 11.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p> From January to August this year, the deficit was US$ 6.021 billion, as against US$ 2.947 billion in the same period of 2009.
