"For the first time in the history of Iranian football, the national team will play against five-time World Cup champion Brazil, in a friendly match organized by the United Arab Emirates", informed PressTV<\/i>. The match was negotiated by presidents Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, of Brazil, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, of Iran.<\/p>\n
The head of International Relations at the Football Federation of Iran, Abbas Torabian, claimed that the match will feature "stars" from the Brazilian team that played the World Cup 2010. In the last Cup, the Brazilian team was coached by Dunga. On this match, the team will be led by Mano Menezes.<\/p>\n
The Iranian team did not participate in the last World Cup, but is now playing the West Asian Championship \u2013 it is preparing itself to play matches in Jordan \u2013 and should also take part in the Asian Cup in Qatar, in January 2011. The Iranians are coached by Afshin Qotbi. <\/p>\n
