They generated revenues of US$ 18.8 billion in September this year, as against US$ 13.8 billion in the same month in 2009.<\/p>\n<p> In the accumulated result for the year, from January to September, exports totalled US$ 144 billion. There was expansion of 29.6% over the first nine months of last year, when foreign revenues totalled US$ 111.7 billion. The period, this year, however, had one less working day than last year.<\/p>\n<p> Imports also expanded significantly this year, to US$ 17.7 billion, against US$ 12.5 billion in the same period in 2009. There was 41% growth in comparison between the periods. In the accumulated result for the year, imports totalled US$ 132 billion, with expressive growth from January to September 2009. The expansion was 45%.<\/p>\n<p> Bilateral trade reached US$ 36.573 billion in September and the surplus, for Brazil, was US$ 1.093 billion in the month.
