This is one of the objectives of the E.torQ Amaz\u00f4nia journey, a car trip from S\u00e3o Paulo to Par\u00e1 that is organised by the Association of Foreign Correspondents (ACE), sponsored by Fiat, Goodyear and Tesacom.<\/p>\n<p> ANBA is included among the journalists participating in the event. The group left S\u00e3o Paulo on Saturday morning (02), in two vehicles, a Palio Adventure and a Dobl\u00f3 van, specially equipped for the adventure.<\/p>\n<p> <!--%IMGNOT2%-->During the weekend, the expedition covered over 1,600 kilometres, passing through Ribeir\u00e3o Preto, in S\u00e3o Paulo, Uberl\u00e2ndia, Uberaba and Cristalina, in Minas Gerais, Bras\u00edlia, in the Federal District, and Porangatu, in Goi\u00e1s, close to the border with Tocantins, from where they are leaving today on the way to Concei\u00e7\u00e3o do Araguaia, in the state of Par\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p> In Par\u00e1, the idea is to visit sites like Caraj\u00e1s mine, explored by mining company Vale, Serra Pelada, mining grounds famous in the 1980s, and the site where hydroelectric power plant Belo Monte should be built, as well as the famous Transamazonic Highway, among others.<\/p>\n<p> ANBA will publish articles about these places as the visits take place. The group plans to be back in S\u00e3o Paulo on October 24th.
