The event is held by the Abu Dhabi Language Centre (ALC), an arm of the Department of Culture and Tourism \u2013 Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Egyptian writer Reem Bassiouney was the winner in the Literature category with \u201cAl Halwani: The Fatimid Trilogy, whose title references the dynasty that ran Egypt from 969 to 1,171.\u201d Also from Egypt, Mustafa Said won Editing of Arabic Manuscripts for his study on Shehab al-Din\u2019s \u201cThe Ship of Possession and the Precious Ship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tunisian writers also won: Houssem Eddine Chachia received the Young Author category award for \u201cThe Morisco Landscape Narratives of Expulsion in Modern Spanish Thought,\u201d which sheds light on the expulsion of the Moriscos from Spain and the connection between memory and historic identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other awards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards were also given in Translation, Contribution to the Development of Nations, Arab Culture, and Publishing and Technology.
