{"id":363752,"date":"2024-04-11T17:16:58","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T20:16:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=363752"},"modified":"2024-04-11T17:17:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T20:17:01","slug":"brazil-one-of-top-10-global-powers-in-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/brazil-one-of-top-10-global-powers-in-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil one of top 10 global powers in technology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 <strong>Brazil <\/strong>received 1.6% of the <strong>global investments in technology<\/strong> and concentrates 27.7% of Latin America\u2019s amount, a study made public on Thursday (11) by the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) based on data compiled by the International Data Corporation (IDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data take into account investments in <strong>software, hardware and services <\/strong>in 2023, which globally reached USD 3.2 trillion compared to USD 3.11 trillion last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The share that the country represents globally remained stable compared to the previous survey, but Brazil\u2019s percentage in Latin America stepped up from last survey\u2019s 36.5%. The country was the top raking in investments in technology in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study points out that Brazil surpassed South Korea and Italy, and it returned to the group of <strong>top ten global powers <\/strong>in the industry, with USD 50 billion in investments in 2023. Brazil climbed two positions, coming in tenth place in this investment ranking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to ABES, Brazil remains a reference in the emerging world.
