According to data presented on Tuesday (23) during seminar \u201cHow Halal Will Boost the Internationalization of Your Brand\u201d by <strong>Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) Intelligence Market Manager Marcus Vin\u00edcius, producers in Rio Grande do Sul exported USD 2 billion worth of goods like chicken meat, followed by wheat, soybeans, rice, soybean oil, and maize. The top destination was Saudi Arabia, followed by Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar was held by the Halal do Brasil project, a partnership between the ABCC and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) to boost the sale of Brazilian halal goods, halal meaning fit for Muslim consumption, to Muslim-majority markets like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia, and Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vin\u00edcius, ABCC International Projects Manager Fernanda Dantas and Commercial Executive Filipe Ferraz were in the headquarters of Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra to present the seminar and the export opportunities of halal food and beverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the data presented, the population of Muslim-majority countries grows at a rate that is three times higher than the world average, and by 2027 it will account for a consumer market of over USD 1.8 trillion. The certifier determines if a company is ready to produce and export products. Ernani Polo, Secretary for the Economic Development of Rio Grande do Sul, was at the seminar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other initiatives of the Halal do Brasil project include taking Brazilian firms to international trade shows and training food and beverage companies interested in selling to the Muslim market. The next seminar will be in Paran\u00e1 in the next couple of months.
