The prize accepts submissions in multiple languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese, and it has increased its funds from USD 3.6 million to USD 5.9 million. Winners will be announced during the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zayed Sustainability Prize is named after the United Arab Emirates\u2019 founder Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and rewards innovative approaches to address sustainability challenges. The Prize will give out US$ 1 million to each winner in the organizational categories of Health, Food, Energy, Water and Climate Action. Within the Global High Schools category, which is split into six world regions, each school can claim up to USD 150,000 to start or further expand their project. For the Health, Food, Energy, Water and Climate Action categories, small to medium enterprises and nonprofit organizations should prove that they are improving access to essential products or services in their targeted communities and are able to implement a long-term vision for better living and working conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2008, through our 117 winners, the prize has transformed the lives of 384 million people, and counting. In 2023, the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Expedicion\u00e1rios pela Sa\u00fade (EDS), a non-profit organization based in Campinas, Brazil, won the Health category.
