Bras\u00edlia \u2013 The Brazilian trade surplus in November \u2013 the positive difference between exports and imports \u2013 totalled US$ 312 million, against US$ 611 million in the same period in 2009, said on Wednesday (1st) the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.<\/p>\n
The fifth week of the month presented a deficit of US$ 399 million and the fourth week registered a surplus of just US$ 49 million. In the month, there was also a negative result in the third week \u2013 US$ 663 million. In the first and second week, the balance surplus reached US$ 429 million and US$ 896 million, respectively.<\/p>\n
Last month, exports totalled US$ 17.688 billion and imports reached US$ 17.376 billion.<\/p>\n
From January to November, the trade surplus is US$ 14.933 billion, 35.4% lower than the balance registered in the same period in 2009 (US$ 23.106 billion). In the first 11 months of this year, exports reached US$ 180.997 billion and imports totalled US$ 166.064 billion.<\/p>\n
