S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 S\u00e3o Paulo will host starting Thursday (23) the 7th<\/sup> Interamerican Arabian Horse Exhibition, which will gather over 120 animals at the Parque da \u00c1gua Branca. Competition events will run through Sunday, May 26, featuring horses from Brazilian states S\u00e3o Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paran\u00e1, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Distrito Federal, and other attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to the Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association (ABCCA<\/a>), the four sporting events will be judged by Brazilians and foreigners, including Palestine\u2019s Sufian Taha Al Husseini, da Palestina. Other judges are Luiz Ant\u00f4nio Moreira Rocco, from Brazil, and Steve Dady, from the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be one event of Conformation (Halter) and three of Performance (Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, and Traditional Costume). Halter judges a horse\u2019s bone structure, musculature, and its body proportions in relation to each other, while performance events takes into account riding styles, the riders\u2019 costumes, and the horses\u2019 gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arabian horses in S\u00e3o Paulo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Arabian horse exhibition is held by the ABCCA, which estimates the event will bring in BRL 1 million (USD 200,000) to the economy of S\u00e3o Paulo. In March last year, the 36th<\/sup> Interstate Arabian Horse Exhibition held by the ABCCA was attended by over 3,000 people<\/p>\n\n\n\n
