S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The minister of Handicraft of Morocco, Anis Birrou, arrives in Brazil this weekend to seek business opportunities in the country. He is coming in the company of a delegation from the ministry and also with businessmen from the Federation of Handicraft Companies to meet on Saturday (11) for roundtables with around 15 Brazilian companies.<\/p>\n
"They are seeking new business, presenting handicraft, seeking partnerships," said Hilton Pe\u00f1a, consul of Morocco in S\u00e3o Paulo. The businessman will meet at the Hotel Sheraton, in S\u00e3o Paulo. On Monday the delegation should meet with the board at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b>.<\/p>\n
"Moroccan handicraft is very rich and greatly sought by tourists. It includes products like tiles and, especially, carpets, which are already much exported to Germany, due to the quality," said the consul. <\/p>\n
"The importance of handicraft in Morocco is such that other Muslim countries seek Moroccan artisans to develop restoration works. We have a tradition that is passed from father to son," he finished off. According to the consul, the city of S\u00e3o Paulo receives most of the Brazilian imports of Moroccan handicraft.<\/p>\n
