According to forecasts by the Central Bank of Brazil, these expenses totalled US$ 16.5 billion, the largest in the historic series, started in 1947.<\/p>\n<p> From January to November, expenses of Brazilians abroad totalled US$ 14.675 billion. Last month alone, they reached US$ 1.515 billion. Preliminary figures for this month, to date (21), show expenses of US$ 1.037 billion.<\/p>\n<p> &quot;Expenses are still on the rise due to growing income, the inclusion of new agents, social growth and to the behaviour of foreign trade,&quot; said the head of the Economic Department at the Central Bank of Brazil, Altamir Lopes.<\/p>\n<p> Revenues by foreigners travelling to Brazil reached US$ 560 million in November. In the first 11 months of the year, these revenues totalled US$ 5.317 billion.
