The figure is already higher than the record-high revenues obtained from foreign trade in 2008.<\/p>\n<p> In comparison with last year, average daily shipments grew by 32%, according to the Ministry. During the same period, imports reached US$ 179 billion, representing an increase of 42.3% over the figure for 2009. The surplus in 2010 reached US$ 19 billion.<\/p>\n<p> Last week, exports reached US$ 5.4 billion and imports, US$ 3.2 billion, resulting in a surplus of US$ 2.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p> In December, up until last week, shipments reached US$ 17 billion, 43.7% more than in the same month of last year based on the daily average. Imports, in turn, reached US$ 13 billion, nearly 30% more based on the daily average, using the same basis of comparison.<\/p>\n<p> The surplus in December has reached US$ 4 billion. Based on the daily average, the figure is 122.5% higher than in December last year.
