S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 S\u00e3o Paulo hosts on the 27th and 28th the Global Agribusiness Festival (GAFFFF<\/a>), which derives from leading ag forum Global Agribusiness Forum held by consultancy Datagro. Its first edition as a festival emerges with the ambitious goal of bringing 25,000 people to the Allianz Parque arena and be the world\u2019s greatest stage for the ag culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) supports it. \u201cWe back the festival because we know the relevance that agribusiness has in Brazil-Arab relations and because of the connections the event may provide to our members,\u201d says ABCC new business director Estev\u00e3o Carvalho. Brazil is a major supplier of ag products to the Arab world. ABCC members get discount tickets for the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held by Datagro and partners, GAFFFF is presented by Brazilian brokerage XP. The megaevent will feature Brazilian and foreign speakers, a business fair with over 100 exhibiting firms and startups, gastronomic experiences, and entertainment, including concerts by Brazilian Sertanejo big names like Chit\u00e3ozinho & Xoror\u00f3 and Jorge & Mateus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three Fs added to the event\u2019s acronym stand for Fair, Food and Fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival aims to connect the countryside to the city, organizers said. \u201cGAFFFF is evidence that the power of agribusiness isn\u2019t just about food and biomass production for the energy transition but also a powerful culture with a huge capacity to reinvent itself,\u201d Datagro director Luiz Felipe Nastari was quoted as saying in a press statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

XP participates as a major financial market player in agribusiness and aims to raise its presence in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arena forum will feature speakers like Mozambican politician and activist Gra\u00e7a Machel, Dartmouth College professor Marcelo Gleiser, New America Foundation global strategy advisor Parag Khanna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The invitation-only Global Agribusiness Forum will also be held, discussing the direction of the sector and its main challenges, especially regarding climate change, preservation of natural resources, and sustainable solutions. Its opening ceremony is expected to feature Brazilian President Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, as well as officials from both Brazil and countries like Angola, Belgium, Kenya, New Zealand, and Uruguay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
