Last year\u2019s monthly average exports were at 428,200. The monthly average year to date through June climbed to 431,400 tonnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June alone, Brazilian raw and processed chicken exports slid, though, to 435,900 tonnes, 2.3% down from last year\u2019s June. Revenue stood at USD 793.6 million, down 10.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First half\u2019s average outperformed 2023\u2019s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJune\u2019s slight year-on-year downturn in shipments isn\u2019t enough to compromise the good momentum experienced by chicken exports. The fact that the first half\u2019s average outperformed 2023\u2019s whole-year average, coupled with the second half of the year typically being the best period for exports, indicates good results for 2024,\u201d said ABPA President Ricardo Santin in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first half of this year, poultry exports reached 2.588 million tonnes, down 1.6% from 2023\u2019s first half. Revenue stood at USD 4.636 billion, down 10.3% from a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top destination China imported 276,100 tonnes in the first half, down 29% from the same period last year. Then came the United Arab Emirates at 240,100 tonnes (+20%), Japan at 214,200 tonnes (-3%) and Saudi Arabia at 206,000 (+17%).
