S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisian Abroad minister Nabil Ammar met with his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira on Friday (12) in Rio de Janeiro, when they signed a memorandum of understanding between the two countries\u2019 diplomatic graduate schools, the Rio Branco Institute and the International Diplomatic Academy of Tunis.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to information from the Ministry <\/a>of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, the foreign ministers discussed the bilateral agenda between the two countries, international peace and security, and topics addressed by the Brazilian presidency of G20 like the fight against hunger and poverty and the reform of global governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry reported that the Arab country is Brazil\u2019s 10th largest commercial partner in Africa, with a trade at USD 442 million last year. Top exports from Brazil to the African state were soybeans and maize. Tunisia, turn, mostly exported olive oil and fertilizers to Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting with Mauro Vieira was part of Ammar\u2019s official visit to Brazil that included appointments in S\u00e3o Paulo on Thursday (11). The foreign minister opened in S\u00e3o Paulo a commercial and consular office of his country’s embassy in Brazil and was featured at an economic forum held at the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC), when the reactivation of a business council between the two countries was signed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ammar was joined in his meeting with Mauro Vieira by his country’s ambassador to Brazil Nabil Lakhal, the embassy’s counselor Hassen Saadani, and other members of his delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
