The shipments in the month totalled 28,300 tonnes, according to figures disclosed by the Confederation of Brazilian Hides and Skins Industries (CICB).<\/p>\n<p> According to a press statement disclosed by the organisation, the value exported in the first two months of the year, US$ 302.7 million, was the best result obtained over the last two years (expansion of 29% in comparison with 2010 and 104% over 2009).<\/p>\n<p> In a press statement, the president at the CICB, Wolfgang Goerlich, stated that the sector is still suffering due to the appreciation of the Brazilian real as against the dollar.
