In January, the industry grew by 0.2%. The figures were disclosed this Friday (1st) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p> The Brazilian industry grew by a rate of 6.9% compared with February 2010. There was growth of 8.6% in the last 12 months and of 4.6% so far this year.<\/p>\n<p> The intermediate goods industry recorded the highest rate of growth in February compared with January, at 1.3%. The capital goods industry grew by 0.9%.
