The midpoint of the season, which ends in April, was reached on January 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qatar Tourism, the agency promoting tourism in the country, said in a statement that the season\u2019s success reaffirms Qatar&#8217;s position as a growing hub for cruise tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The GCC also includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far this season, the main cruise visitors to Qatar are from Germany (30.2%), followed by Russia (10.8%) and Italy (9.2%).
