S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brazil\u2019s Finance Minister Fernando Haddad will travel to the Gulf for meetings in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In talks with ministers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, Haddad is set to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, energy transition, and mutual investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The preliminary travel schedule indicates that the delegation from the Ministry of Finance, led by Haddad, will depart for Saudi Arabia on Friday (14). On Sunday (16), Haddad will meet in Riyadh with Saudi Arabia\u2019s Minister of Investment, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, who has previously met with Brazilian President Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva and Vice President Geraldo Alckmin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From Riyadh, Haddad will travel to AlUla, a city that will host the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies on Monday (17), held by the International Monetary Fund (IMF<\/a>). Haddad will take part in the event\u2019s closing panel titled \u201cA Path to Resilience for Emerging Markets,\u201d moderated by the IMF\u2019s Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, alongside ministers from Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It will also be in AlUla that Haddad will meet with Qatar\u2019s Finance Minister and President of the Qatar Development Bank, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. He will leave Saudi Arabia on Monday and head to the UAE.
