S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Two meas companies and nine agricultural commodity traders will take part in the Gulfood trade fair in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at two booths organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce <\/strong>(ABCC). The largest food and beverage fair in the Middle East, Gulfood will be held from February 17 to 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gulfood segments each company\u2019s industry into 24 sections. Therefore, the ABCC will have one booth in the meats section and another in the commodities section. In the meats sector, trading companies Centro Internacional and Agroexport will be represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the booth located in the commodities and grains section, the following companies will participate: Arbaza, which specializes in grains such as beans and corn; grain trading company Ostinato, represented by its peanut-exporting subsidiary Nutoil; peanut producers\u2019 cooperative CAMAP; trading companies Stefenoni and Agr\u00edcola Ferrari; powdered milk manufacturer Tangar\u00e1; fertilizer producer Atlas Agro; multinational trading company COFCO; and bean and sesame manufacturer Dassoler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the ABCC\u2019s Director of New Business, Estev\u00e3o Margotti de Carvalho, attending Gulfood means being part of the best food trade fair in the Middle East, with a well-established and highly competitive presence. \u201cThe ABCC has two booths at the event, making it a key player for companies looking to participate in the exhibition,\u201d he said. According to Carvalho, the ABCC will offer a unique advantage to participants: executives from its Dubai office bringing potential clients to meet with Brazilian exhibitors at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carvalho says that another factor should benefit Gulfood participants at the ABCC\u2019s booth\u2014the international context. \u201cBrazilian products are competitive abroad due to the depreciation of the real against the dollar. This makes the current moment favorable for Brazilian exports,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carvalho also sees opportunities for Brazilian sesame at Gulfood. He notes that Sudan is a major global supplier but is currently struggling to meet international demand due to the ongoing conflict, thus creating a need for new market suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the ABCC, other Brazilian companies and industry organizations will participate in the fair, including pork and poultry lobby ABPA and beef exporters association ABIEC. The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) will have its own booth at the event. Food certification body FAMBRAS Halal has also confirmed its presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
