S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brazil\u2019s exports to Lebanon started the year strong, with USD 49.6 million in products shipped in January, according to the Latin American giant\u2019s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services. This compares to USD 14.1 million in the same month last year. Imports also saw a slight increase, from USD 171,900 in January 2024 to USD 214,300 this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the main products sold by Brazil last month were live cattle and sugar. USD 16.05 million worth of live cattle were exported, a product that was not sold to the Arab country in January of the previous year. Meanwhile, sugar exports saw a sharp increase, from USD 18,500 in January 2024 to USD 12.4 million in January this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coffee exports also increased, grossing USD 8.3 million compared to USD 4.05 million in January 2024, as well as beef exports, which rose to USD 5.6 million last month from USD 4.07 million in January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among imports, notable purchases included olive oil, PET plastic, olives, and cigarette paper\u2014products that Brazil did not buy from Lebanon in January of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
